Adelaide runners face a full schedule from this Sunday onward, with 48 events posted for the metropolitan area on the Running Calendar site. The first fixtures fall on 19 July at the University of Adelaide Waite Campus in Urrbrae and at Henley Jetty.
The list matters now because the Athletics SA Winter Season begins immediately, giving local athletes a clear run of cross-country, corporate and fun-run options through spring. Many events repeat weekly, letting participants build fitness without leaving the city.
Cross-country championships open proceedings at the Waite Campus. The Jetty2Jetty Series Race 4 follows the same day along the Henley Jetty foreshore. A week later the Hills to Henley River Run moves from the Adelaide Hills down to the city riverbank. Fitzy’s 5 takes place on the Uni Loop at Park 10 in North Adelaide on 2 August, while the Corporate Cup Adelaide CBD round one starts from Karrawirra Park the following evening.
The same source records 48 total listings for Adelaide proper. They cover distances from short fun runs to longer trail efforts at Cleland National Park and river festivals at Felixstow. Coastal events at Grange appear twice in the opening month, including the two-day Coastal4Cancer weekend on 8-9 August.
Participants can check start times and entry details directly on the Running Calendar Adelaide page. Most events accept both runners and walkers, and several corporate series allow workplace teams. The next block after the opening fortnight includes three more Corporate Cup rounds at Mawson Lakes and the Adelaide CBD through late August, plus the White Coastal Run back at Grange on 6 September.
With the winter calendar now live, Adelaide athletes have a ready map of weekly opportunities from the city centre to the coast and foothills. Checking the site each week keeps entries current as dates fill.
