Vegan and Vegetarian Dining in Adelaide: Plant-Based Options in South Australia

Adelaide's plant-based dining scene has developed significantly, with a mix of dedicated vegan and vegetarian restaurants and a broad range of venues with strong plant-based menus. The Unley and King William Road corridors have several well-regarded plant-based cafes and restaurants popular with the inner eastern suburbs community. Goodwood and the southern suburbs have a cluster of health food cafes and vegan-focused operations. Norwood's Parade has several cafes with strong plant-based options as part of their broader menus. The Adelaide Central Market has several produce stalls and specialty food vendors well suited to plant-based self-catering, including excellent olive oil, nuts and dried goods from regional SA producers. Several Indian restaurants, particularly around Chinatown and Gouger Street, have extensive vegetarian menus that are among the best plant-based options in the city. The Fringe festival period brings an influx of pop-up vegan food vendors to the Garden of Unearthly Delights and surrounding precincts.
